Rhyacophila bonaparti is an endemic species of the Alps
The larvae inhabit springs, trickles and rivulets and are only found
in clean water (Botosaneanu & Malicky 1978, Pitsch 1993).
Larvae are carnivorous, feeding on small invertebrates (Waringer
& Graf 1997, Graf et al. 2002).
Adults are on the wing from May to June (Waringer & Graf 1997).
